Friday, January 7, 2011, I will be starting a new class at the Jackson County Senior Center. It is called Scrapping with Seniors! Intended as an inter-generational experience, this class is open to creative people of all ages. Each participant will work on a scrapbook cookbook showing their individual flair. Each recipe can be scrapbooked with a page all its own, or in groups with a unique envelope system to hold multiple recipes on one page. I will be working with my teenage daughter to create a cookbook of our family's favorite recipes in a three ring binder. We will include recipes, photos of our family, and lots of journaling about what makes that recipe special to us. I can't wait to get started with her and see what we "cook up" for this project!

The cookbook class was alot of fun! We had one senior plus the two little girls we watch on Fridays. My daughter helped the girls make "pages" for their mom with stickers and stamping. Our senior enjoyed chatting with the girls and getting a few ideas of her own rolling. Oh, and my daughter started another scrapbook, too!
